Triquetra

This early symbol for the Holy Trinity is formed from three equal arcs. The arcs represent equality, the continuous line expresses eternity and the interweaving represents indivisibility. At the center is a triangle, another symbol of the Trinity. Because of its beauty and simplicity, the triquetra is often used as a design element in church architecture.
