FAMILY & CHILDREN'S MINISTRY CAMPING EXPEDITION AND CHURCH-WIDE PICNIC CEDARS OF LEBANON ~ MAY 2ND to MAY 4TH

 

Camping overnight is optional for all families.

You are welcome to come out to Cedars of Lebanon and enjoy the daily activities.

For those interested in staying overnight at the campsite (May 2nd & 3rd), please call Julie Harper ASAP to reserve your camping space and to get a list of items needed.

Cost: $15/person or $25/family.

For those interested in helping to coordinate and participate in the fun activities planned, please call Shaun Marie Mertz or Karen von Dollen.

For those interested in enjoying the picnic and sharing in the fellowship of a meal together on May 3rd at 2pm, please call Tanya Reynolds or Debbie Greene. A sign-up sheet will be in the Narthex to coordinate the picnic and food. Come on out and have lots of fun camping, playing, eating and sharing your Koin身n赤a.

Piano and Guitar Lessons

Denise Locke has openings for new piano and guitar students. She teaches all ages—you are never too old to learn :)—and teaches geared to the individual student. If you want to learn to play by ear or to learn to read music, please give her a call for more information.

Christianity 101

"Back to the Basics of Our Christian Faith" Sundays at 9:30 am.  Learn what we believe as Lutherans.  Taught by Pastor Keith Enko.

 

 

"Christology"

Sundays at 9:30 am  - Find out if Christ played hide and seek as a child, and if so, did he always know where his friends were hiding?  Join us as we study modern theology.  Taught by Andrew Abraham.

 

Upcoming Bible Studies

 

Life Rules: Instructions for Life - Relationships for Dummies.  Learn God's rules to improve your current relationships and mend hurting ones.  This is a small group bible study for anyone in their 20's and 30's, taught by Nathan and Lori Harris.  Starts in June.

 

 $$ Financial Security Workshop $$ -  All ages, from teenagers to the retired are invited to learn how your finances are tied to scripture, common sense and sound financial principals, using some of the same philosophies taught by Dave Ramsey, Larry Burkett and many other financial notables.  There is no magic bullet or effortless cure, but if you want to learn some techniques that can be used to change your life and your family tree for generations to come, plan to come.   Classes begin on June 8th.  There will be a $10 fee to cover materials.  Class will be taught by John Hall.

 

A 2 Year Journey though the Bible in 15 minutes a Day- using Today's Light Bible is a small group bible study to help you become more familiar with the bible.  Classes start soon.  Speak to the Church Office if you would like to order your copy of Today's Light Bible.


SIGN CLASS

Kate Kanies teaches sign language every Tuesday evening from  6:00pm - 7:00pm.

Lip Reading Class

Shari Koeper teaches a lip reading class as the League for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Downtown Nashville on Mondays.  For more information, contact Shari Koeper.


EXERCISE CLASS

     Taught by Brenda Rahn.  Meets every Tuesday evening from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.  Exercise both body and soul!
